NH is part of a 10 state Cap and Trade coalition called the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).  HB 1434 was signed by Governor Lynch on 4/22/2008.  That bill became the New Hampshire RGGI law.  The current NH Legislature voted to repeal RGGI, but the bill was vetoed by Governor Lynch.

Ottmar Edenhofer, a high ranking member of the UN's IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change) has admitted that this is not really about Global Warming -- and that it is really about a redistribution of wealth scheme.

This law is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.  Article 1, Section 10 states that: "No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.
