Monthly Meetings

When your 2 yr. old daughter is diganosed with cancer Tuesday, May 8, 2012 - 7:00pm Mark Lutter

The May 8th meeting of the Southern NH 9.12 group will focus on a topic that will impact nearly half of all Americans in their lifetime – Cancer.  This unfortunate reality is even more devastating when the news is about your child.

Mark Lutter will share with us the heart wrenching journey and decisions that he and his wife had to make after learning last year that their two year old daughter, Alexa, was diagnosed with Brain Cancer.  The surgery had numerous complications and Alexa spent 6 months in 3 different hospitals. Every day was a new learning experience.  In hindsight the parents wished they could have made some different decisions.

Mark is haunted by the fact that many of their decisions were made without knowing all of the available options.  It is his desire to educate others, and to share why some of their decisions would have been different had they known then, what they know now.

Please join us on Tuesday, May 8th at 7pm at the Windham Senior Center, 2 North Lowell Road and learn some things that you may not hear anywhere else.  This meeting is free and open to the public, snacks and refreshments will be served, and everyone is encouraged to attend.

ICLEI and Agenda 21 Tuesday, April 10, 2012 - 7:00pm Dave Kopacz, Sr.

On April 10th Mr. Dave Kopacz Sr. will discuss ICLEI, which stands for the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives.  This is a program that was created under the UN's Agenda 21 program -- with the intent to undermine many of the values that we enjoy and embrace as Americans... personal property, education, parental rights, etc...

If you have heard the terms "sustainable development", "global warming", "public-private partnerships", then you are aware of some of the multitude of Agenda 21 programs that are being implemented around us on a daily basis.

Mr. Kopacz is a municipal Conservation Agent, Chair of the Conservation Commission and Chair of his town's Open Space and Recreation Committee.  He is an expert in the field of conservation.  He will share his personal experiences with regional planning commissions that seek to impose and institute policies into local land and environmental regulations.  He will also explain and show examples of negative impacts that can be associated with land trusts that promote the preservation of farming rights, but prevent the use of farming equipment.

In the few years that I have known of the UN Agenda 21 program, I spent most of that time trying to find someone that could clearly explain to me some of the details... to educate me and to provide real world examples.  Mr. Kopacz is this person.  I am grateful that he has agreed to share his time with us, as he will provide an insight on Agenda 21 that will raise our awareness to new heights.

Please make time to come and listen to Mr. Kopacz at the Windham Senior Center on April 10th at 7pm.  You will feel your time was well spent.

The meeting is free and open to the public, home made snacks and refreshments will be served, and everyone is encouraged to attend.

It is an honor for our Southern NH 9.12 group to host two special guests for our March meeing.  Corey Lewandwski (left), the Director of the NH Americans For Prosperity, and Kevin Smith, a conservative NH Gubernatorial candidate.

This will be a very informative meeting of the Southern NH 9.12 Project.  Everyone is welcome to attend, and this meeting is free and open to the public.

Please Note: To avoid a conflict with the local elections, our March meeting will be held on a special date: March 6th at 7:00pm

Learn about this year's 2012 Proposed Bills Tuesday, February 14, 2012 - 7:00pm Representative David Bates, Representative Rick Okerman

Each new session brings with it controversial bills that are discussed and debated by both parties and this year is no different... with the Voter ID Bill that was vetoed by Governor Lynch last year, and will be re-introduced this year.

After a sting operation on January 10th showed just how easy it is to cast a vote for a dead person, Governor Lynch has indicated that he will change his position on this issue and sign a voter ID bill into law to ensure the integrity of our election process.

Representatives Bates and Okerman will share their thoughts on this and other bills that are making their way through the NH House of Representatives.  This promises to be a very informative meeting of the Southern NH 9.12 Project.  Everyone is welcome to attend, and this meeting is free and open to the public.

January Meeting - Go Vote! Wednesday, February 8, 2012 - 7:00pm

Because our normal meeting date on the second Tuesday of the month falls on Election Day this month, our January meeting was moved to Jan. 5th to host Senator Rick Santorum at the High School.  This frees everyone up to go vote and support their candidates in whatever ways they can.

See you on Tuesday, February 7th at 7pm!  Meeting details to be posted soon
