On April 10th Mr. Dave Kopacz Sr. will discuss ICLEI, which stands for the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives. This is a program that was created under the UN's Agenda 21 program -- with the intent to undermine many of the values that we enjoy and embrace as Americans... personal property, education, parental rights, etc...
If you have heard the terms "sustainable development", "global warming", "public-private partnerships", then you are aware of some of the multitude of Agenda 21 programs that are being implemented around us on a daily basis.
Mr. Kopacz is a municipal Conservation Agent, Chair of the Conservation Commission and Chair of his town's Open Space and Recreation Committee. He is an expert in the field of conservation. He will share his personal experiences with regional planning commissions that seek to impose and institute policies into local land and environmental regulations. He will also explain and show examples of negative impacts that can be associated with land trusts that promote the preservation of farming rights, but prevent the use of farming equipment.
In the few years that I have known of the UN Agenda 21 program, I spent most of that time trying to find someone that could clearly explain to me some of the details... to educate me and to provide real world examples. Mr. Kopacz is this person. I am grateful that he has agreed to share his time with us, as he will provide an insight on Agenda 21 that will raise our awareness to new heights.
Please make time to come and listen to Mr. Kopacz at the Windham Senior Center on April 10th at 7pm. You will feel your time was well spent.
The meeting is free and open to the public, home made snacks and refreshments will be served, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
